OTHELLO - LINK TO RADIO PERFORMANCE

One helpful way to revise for Othello is to watch and listen to different performances of the play. There are at least two versions of the play in The Video Library


Remember that different performances will generally focus on different interpretations of the play. One may focus on Othello and Desdemona's relationship as the major cause of the tragedy. Another performance will focus on Iago and his ambitions.


I think what struck me about the performance I've linked to below is the extent to which Othello is presented as animalistic and Iago's intelligent criminal mind.

You can refer to different performances in your essay as a way of referring to different interpretations of the play. This is one of the comments you can make about a quotation.
