While the 1:1 draft feedback interviews are taking place between 20 March - 30 March for Norman's group and 5 March - 15 March for the group I share with Helen - you should be doing the following:
Before the interview re-read Othello. Make sure you give a title and a summary of each scene and Act, underline key quotations, summarise confusing or difficult speeches and note important developments in the plot. Organise all your notes on the play here are some suggested topics- Tragedy, courtly love, the character of Othello, Desdemona, Iago, Cassio, Emillia, Rodrigo, the presentation of female and male characters, love, jealousy, evil.
Continue to follow up research into context and other voices for inclusion in the final draft.
After the feedback interview you should- as soon as possible after the interview - write up the final version of the essay. This should be completed as quickly as possible. Devote an intensive and short period of time to do this. Don't let the essay drag on and on. Use the notes made during the interview and the feedback post on the blog to help you.
