A2 Lang and Lit - Comparative Analysis and Text Adaptation

Here is the title and a link to the book you will need to buy Cupcakes and Kalashnikovs edited by Eleanor Mills.

We will be studying four sections of the book. These include War, Politics Race and Society, Sex and Body Image and Interviews and Icons.

There are over 30 articles in these sections and we will not be able to study let alone read them all in class. It is your responsibility to read them independently. However I expect that we will study in some detail a minimum of 20 articles.

You should make every effort to start reading the articles from the above sections as soon as you get your copy. As we are student readers and not consumer readers I expect you will have a pencil in your hand as you read and underline important facts in each article. Jot down a summary of these facts in the margin as well.

We will start with The Fall of the Berlin Wall by Ann Leslie.
