AS LL - FEEDBACK STREETCAR ANALYSIS TASK

Lots of good things found in your answers these include:
  • Generally well written answers - sentences, paragraphs, introductions, concluding statements
  • Most people focused on two or three key episodes well
  • Everyone referred to a range of frameworks in your paragraph analysis
  • Most people referred well to the question - although some preferred to write about the women
Some important points to consider for Friday
  • Write analytical, concise and detailed paragraphs
  • Use more technical terms when commenting on quotations
  • Make sure your comments on quotations includes what effects specific language features have on an audience and other characters
  • Be very selective about what you write about - I was surprised how few of you wrote about the rape in scene 10
  • Write about what you consider to be the most impressive and important points first of all. Don't write about the play chronologically from scene 1.
  • Avoid writing long quotations
  • You are not writing an essay
    • Use brief introductory and concluding statements
    • Write a series of logical and coherent paragraphs - loosely linked by topic
